Waterstop

Il WATERSTOP-Fip is a waterproof PVC joint specially designed in its form and in its composition to be used as a recovery joint and/or expansion in both civil and industrial constructions. It actually ensures both a perfect hydraulic seal and a great capacity of absorption of mechanical stresses. 

Il WATERSTOP-Fip is used in the construction of the following works:

I WATERSTOPS-Fip are made extruding a composition of polyvinyl chloride, specially formulated with fillers and selected additives in order to obtain a product with technical characteristics that meet the most stringent operating conditions. The formulation ensures resistance to aging and chemical attack in both alkaline and acidic environments: for example the contact with salt water or acidic solutions. In case of structures in permanent contact with hydrocarbons and oils, profiles made with a specific compound designed for the specific operating conditions should be used. The shape of the profiles is particularly designed to obtain the maximum resistance tostatic and dynamic stresses of concrete structures, that may be exposed to operating temperatures ranging from -30 ° C to + 70 ° C. The profile is inert towards the concrete andsteel used for reinforcemen.

PROFILES
The different types of profiles have been designed on the basis of performance and functions to perform.

FUNCTIONS
Casting retake: type DL, DP, DE, D, with profiles of suitable design to facilitate the anchorage in the concrete casting.
Expansion joint: type DO, DA, DLN, DT, with closed central bulb and with suitable design to facilitate the anchorage in the concrete, as well as the positive and negative expansion.

IMPIEGO
Profiles to be placed inside the casting (Fig. A and B): type DL, DO foreseeing the edge sealin the case of expansion joints.
Profiles to be placed on the outside of the casting (Fig. C and D): type DP, DLN to be used when it is necessary to carry out the joint between a new and an existing structure (foundation slabs, lean concrete, etc..).
